Frustrating

I have loved this game for a long time and it is my go to game. Love the challenge and the need for speed but lately I have been very frustrated because I feel I am being blocked from progressing. I went from 2 finger control to 1 finger and that hasnt helped. Sometimes it seems like you end the game really quick and I have been watching from the side to see where you are and I am far ahead but you end the game and I loose. What is causing that?
So me again now March 26th.
So now I am stopped because there is no match and when I wait to see where the match is there is none and again I lose. Plus there is a hesitation when I get near the end of the game which stops me from finishing before you. Not my fav game anymore.
